This is initially a temporary position, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate who demonstrates commitment, professionalism, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Key responsibilities:
*
Support the child to access learning activities, promoting engagement, confidence, and independence.
*
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to implement tailored strategies that meet the child's individual needs.

Adapt resources and learning activities to enable the child to participate fully in the curriculum.
*
Support the child's social, emotional, communication, and behavioural development using positive and consistent approaches.
*
Monitor, record, and report on the child's progress, contributing to reviews and target setting.
*
Encourage positive relationships with peers and promote inclusion within the classroom and wider school community.
We are looking for someone who:
*
Has experience supporting primary-aged children with SEND in a school or educational setting.
*
Has a good understanding of a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, sensory processing differences, or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
*
Demonstrates patience, empathy, resilience, and excellent communication skills.
*
Can build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
*
Is proactive, adaptable, and able to use initiative while working as part of a team.
*
Is committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
We offer:
*
The opportunity to work within an outstanding setting that places children at the heart of everything we do.
*
A welcoming, supportive, and experienced team.
*
Ongoing professional development and SEND training opportunities.
*
A rewarding role where you can make a lasting difference to a child's educational journey.
