Semi-Senior Accountant required. Our client is an award-winning chartered accountancy practice based in Surrey, and have a range of clients based in London and South East of England.
The successful candidate will have 3-5 years' previous experience working in an accountancy practice. Suitable candidate must live within an 8-mile radius of Ashtead.
Semi-Senior Accountant - Position Overview
Accounts preparation for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
Prepare quarterly VAT returns
Preparation business tax computations
Draft covering letters enclosing accounts and business tax computations to clients
Some tax planning regarding extraction of funds from a company in the most tax efficient manner. Implement some tax planning strategies for sole traders and partnerships too with appropriate training
Prepare invoices using our software and help with the renewal of fixed price agreements and tracking profit on jobs
Semi-Senior Accountant - Position Requirements
Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping (essential)
Experience with accounts preparation (essential)
Experience of IRIS/Xero (essential)
Good IT skill - so can deal well with Cloud/Outlook/Excel/Word
Good basic understanding of accounting standards /FRSs for accounts
3+ years' experience in an accountancy practice is important
Part, or fully qualified AAT (Level 3 minimum), ACCA or ACA
Semi-Senior Accountant - Position Remunerations
£24,500-£40,000 (dependant on qualifications/experience)
