SEMH Tutor (Full Time, Temporary)

Stockton-on-Tees 

£120- £150 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Start date: September 2024

The School and Role

A vibrant, supportive and very highly regarded College is seeking to appoint a full time SEMH Tutor. As a SEMH tutor you would be required to offer support to the student from a couple of hours to multiple sessions a week and be required to complete weekly feedback forms on the students' progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence.

The College offers an educational provision for students with high functioning autism, Aspergers Syndrome and related difficulties such as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), mental health problems and anxiety. Several of the students have been out of education and training for some time or had difficult experiences in education in the past and are now benefitting from flexible and creative approaches to teaching and learning.  Students typically study from Entry Level to Level 2.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEMH Tutor you will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Primary or Secondary
Experience working with Secondary aged children.
Experience with managing behaviour
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEMH Teachers and LSA’s
A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people.
