SEMH Teaching Assistant

Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a primary school setting.

The school is seeking a strong role model who can build positive relationships with children who may display social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
* Helping children regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively
* Supporting classroom learning and engagement
* Assisting with routines, structure, and behaviour strategies
* Building trusting and consistent relationships with pupils
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff

The Successful Candidate Will:
* Have recent experience working within a UK primary school
* Have experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs
* Be calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
* Have excellent behaviour management skills
* Be passionate about supporting vulnerable pupils
* Be able to adapt to the individual needs of children
