About the Role: Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? GSL Education is seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Gateshead. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives and support their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to access the curriculum.
Assist in managing behaviour and implementing strategies to promote positive outcomes.
Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to create individualized support plans.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to support student development.
Requirements:
Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs.
Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
