SEMH Teaching Assistant - ASAP Start - SEMH Secondary School - Full Time
I am looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an SEMH school in Chobham. The successful candidate will support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Student Support:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management plans.
* Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behavior.
*
Classroom Assistance:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
* Help prepare learning materials and resources.
* Support students in their academic and personal development.
*
Behavior Management:
* Implement behavior management strategies to support positive behavior.
* Monitor and record student progress and behavior.
* Provide feedback to the class teacher and other professionals as needed.
*
Pastoral Care:
* Build positive relationships with students, promoting trust and confidence.
* Provide emotional support and encouragement to students.
* Work with the school’s pastoral team to support student well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience working with children with SEMH needs, preferably in a school setting.
* Relevant qualifications in education or child care are desirable.
* Understanding of SEMH needs and appropriate support strategies.
