Job Title: Maths Teacher for SEMH Secondary Provision
Location: Blackpool, FY4
Hours: Full Time - 5 days
Salary: £700 to £950 per week

Long Term Position- Starting ASAP until July, possible potential to continue in September

About the school:

Simply Education is currently working in partnership with an SEMH provision based in Blackpool looking for a Maths Teacher. This is a new provision which provides bespoke learning opportunities for young people aged 11-16 with additional needs who have previously experienced trauma or had a bad experience of school. The setting focuses on changing students’ mindset and giving their students all the tools to be successful in their future.

The role:

We are looking for a Teacher to deliver Maths lessons to students with complex needs. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality bespoke Maths, lessons to students in Y7 to Y11 often displaying challenging behaviour. The role will include delivering other subjects in the afternoons several times a week. Due to the nature of the role, QTS and prior experience teaching is essential. The ideal Teacher would be able to commit to a full-time role Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4pm as students receiving consistency is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

- To deliver high-quality bespoke Maths lessons to students often displaying challenging behaviour

- Support the students to become re-engaged with their learning.

- Model and promote high behaviour expectations as a SEMH Teacher.

- Communicate effectively and build rapport and common interests with the students to inspire and motivate them.

Key Requirements:

- An understanding of working with disengaged students.

- Knowledge and experience teaching a Primary model.

- Resilience and the ability to model and promote high behaviour expectations.

- Ability to inspire and motivate students.

- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
