Are you a Psychology graduate with experience working in mental health hospitals, low or high secure units, or forensic secure settings? If you're looking to apply your knowledge and experience in a rewarding educational environment, Prospero Teaching would love to hear from you.

We are recruiting compassionate, resilient, and proactive individuals to work across a range of SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools and Alternative Provisions throughout Birmingham. You'll support children and young people with complex social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs, helping them engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities may include:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
Building positive, trusting relationships with students who may display challenging behaviour.
Supporting emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
Working alongside teachers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalised support.
Helping create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Counselling, Social Work, or Teaching.

Previous experience in mental health hospitals, high or low secure units, forensic secure services, or similar therapeutic settings is highly desirable.

If you're passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable young people, we'd love to hear from you
