Join GSL Education as an Aspiring Education Psychologist - SEMH Learning Support Assistant in Southwark! This long-term role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with challenging behaviour profiles and emotional and mental health difficulties, while gaining valuable experience and insight into the field of education psychology.

Location: Southwark, London
Salary Scale: £90-£100 per day
Start Date: March 2024
End Date: July 2024
Contract Type: Long-Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 – 16:00

About the Role:

Support children with challenging behaviour profiles and emotional and mental health difficulties, providing tailored assistance to meet their individual needs.
Collaborate with senior staff members to identify risks and support strategies for children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
Work within a supportive and dynamic team environment, gaining exposure to various aspects of children's mental health, trauma, and neurodiversity provisions.
Requirements:

Graduates of social science, youth studies, psychology, criminology, or similar fields preferred, but non-graduates with sincerity, compassion, enthusiasm, and inspiration are welcome.
Familiarity with Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and regulations.
Ability to listen empathetically to students' personal experiences and provide a supportive and nurturing environment.
