Lotus Recruitment is expanding its team of self-employed Residential Care Workers to support a range of children's residential homes across Lancashire and Greater Manchester. If you're an experienced care professional looking for flexibility and the opportunity to choose shifts that fit around your lifestyle, we'd love to hear from you.
We have a variety of day, waking night and sleep-in shifts available, offering regular work for reliable and committed individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for young people
* Support the physical, emotional and behavioural needs of children in residential care
* Build positive relationships and encourage independence and personal development
* Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
* Maintain accurate records and complete shift handovers
* Work collaboratively with permanent staff to ensure the highest standards of care
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Previous experience working within a children's residential setting is essential
* A caring, resilient and professional approach
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt quickly to different homes and teams
* Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service preferred
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle preferred
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, waking nights and sleep-ins
