Security Supervisor

Description:

Great opportunity to work as a Security Supervisor for our client based in Colindale, where you will be required to carry out duties in a busy environment, no two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to carve out a career with the biggest name in security.

You must have a Full UK Driving Licence and a valid SIA Security Guard License to be considered for this role.

Contract Information:
Pay Rate: £14.78 per hour
Shifts: 4 on 4 off
Hours: 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the core security team during each shift.
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the site.
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to incidents or suspicious activity.
- Manage and follow established escalation procedures for incidents and emergencies.
- Complete daily security logs, occurrence books, compliance documentation, and other required paperwork accurately.
- Ensure all security officers comply with site procedures, post orders, and company policies.
- Provide guidance and support to security officers throughout the shift.
- Assist with the training and induction of new security guards, ensuring they understand site procedures and expectations.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure standards of security and presentation are maintained.
- Liaise professionally with the client, management, emergency services, and other relevant stakeholders when required.
- Report incidents promptly and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
- Lead by example and maintain a calm, professional approach in challenging situations.
- Support the management team with audits, investigations, risk assessments, and other compliance requirements.

Our Perfect Worker

Essential Requirements
- A valid SIA Security Guard licence.
- Previous security experience, ideally in a supervisory or team-leader capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Good written and verbal English.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete accurate documentation.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow and enforce security procedures effectively.
