Role overview:

As a Security Manager, you will have full responsibility for all aspects relating to the successful delivery of the Security Service on a busy Retail Park. Your responsibilities will be to ensure the safety and security of all customers, staff and occupiers is a priority. Teesside Park is a very busy Retail environment which deals with many diverse situations which can include, First Aid, Traffic Management, Police incidents and a low level of Anti-Social Behaviour. The Control Room is the heart of the retail park and compliance to procedure is always required. The Security Manager is responsible for ensuring that the CCTV Operatives are trained to the correct levels and procedures are followed on all occasions. On a day-to-day basis you will manage the team from recruitment, inductions, managing absence, HR issues, training, skills gap analysis and disciplinary hearings.

This role requires a good level of leadership and good organisational skills.

You’ll be responsible for:

Essential:

· Supervisory experience within either a Retail Security environment or another professional Security environment, with good leadership and people management skills.

· Ability to communicate at all levels.

· IT Skills (Microsoft Office 365, Power Point, Excel & Word)

· Have a good understanding of HR processes and procedures and Health & Safety policies and procedures.

· Ability to work on own initiative with a flexible and proactive attitude.

· Deliver and review all aspects of training.

· Carry out scenario training for Major Incidents.

· Complete competency and safety audits

· Identify and correct hazardous conditions.

· Monitor compliance, enforce the control measures Investigate accidents or incidents and revise risk assessments where necessary.

· Monitor and manage attendance, complete performance reviews with the team.

Licence Requirements

· SIA Door Supervisor licence.

· CCTV Licence

· Full drivers’ licence.

Great to haves

· First Aid Certificate

· IOSHH

Job Requirements

You must be able to provide check-able 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods in receipt of benefits). Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.
