Section Engineer
Highways & Civil Engineering
Plymouth
Looking for long term security and progression in the South West?
We are on the search for a proactive and driven Section Engineer to join a leading, Tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor with a strong base and pipeline of future works in Devon.
Currently operating across a number of sectors to include Highways, Rail, Construction and Build, they boast offices across the UK and abroad offering great variety of work alongside first-class training and development opportunities.
The main purpose of the role is to support their Major Projects team in Plymouth on a large scale road scheme.
Key Duties:
Managing a team of engineers
Overseeing and reporting on productivity
Ensuring high levels of Health & Safety and undertaking inspections
Have an understanding of robotic surveying equipment;
Support and ensure that the works are constructed in accordance design specification
Mentor and develop your team
Key Requirements:
Minimum of an HNC/Degree or equivalent
Strong Engineering and Setting Out experience
Sound technical knowledge including construction tolerances, specification and contract documentation
Excellent management and communication skills
Willingness to work as part of a team and develop your career
