We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join the English Department of a well-regarded secondary school in Chorley. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with a specialism or strong experience in English.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant in the English Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting both students and teachers. Your main responsibilities will include:

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective English lessons.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
Helping to prepare lesson materials and classroom resources.
Supporting students in developing their reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
Supervising and managing student behaviour in line with school policies.Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an English department.
Strong knowledge and passion for the English subject.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards helping students succeed.
Relevant qualifications or certifications are advantageous.Benefits:

You must be willing to attend a registration interviewAll pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
