Full-Time With Temporary to Permanent Opportunities
Teaching Personnel Liverpool are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistants to support the new cohort of Year 7 students joining our partnership secondary schools in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to make a positive impact during a key transitional stage in students’ academic journeys.
The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students as they adapt to secondary school life. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 support for students who require additional guidance
Delivering small group interventions to support learning and engagement
Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Supporting students with a range of needs, including academic, social, and emotional development
Helping to manage behaviour and encourage positive learning attitudes
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who:
Have experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching, or similar)
Are patient, adaptable, and confident in supporting students with varying needs
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Are committed to supporting students’ progress and wellbeing
Hold (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
Working Hours & Pay
Full-time: Monday to Friday
Working hours: 6.5-hour school day
Daily rate: £95 – £105 (dependent on experience)
