The role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons across a variety of school settings, teaching within your subject specialism or providing general cover where required.

This role offers complete flexibility - whether you are looking for a few days per week, full-time supply, or a better work-life balance around existing commitments.

You will take responsibility for:
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where applicable)
• Teaching within your subject specialism or covering general lessons
• Adapting teaching style to suit different classroom environments
• Maintaining strong classroom management and a focused learning atmosphere
• Following school policies and ensuring continuity of learning
• Building positive relationships with students and school staff
• Representing a high standard of teaching professionalism across all placements

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• A flexible and adaptable approach to different school environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Other DESIRABLE skills include:
• Subject specialism in core or high-demand areas
• Experience delivering lessons across multiple key stages
• Confidence covering general lessons outside specialism when required
• Ability to quickly build rapport with new classes and staff teams
• Strong organisational skills and reliability
