Secondary Specialist Tutor
Support Secondary-Aged Learners Through Personalised Education
We're looking for a Secondary Specialist Tutor to work with children and young people across Hampshire, providing tailored 1:1 support outside of a traditional classroom setting.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll support secondary-aged learners who require alternative educational provision. Students may be preparing for qualifications, reintegrating into education, or overcoming barriers that have impacted their learning. The role involves adapting your subject knowledge and teaching approach to meet individual needs while building confidence, engagement, and academic progress.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced education professionals who enjoy working closely with learners and making a direct impact on outcomes.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements
Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
Experience supporting secondary-aged learners
Strong subject knowledge in one or more curriculum areas
Ability to deliver engaging and personalised lessons
Experience supporting students with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire
