SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools

Location: Wirral (Birkenhead, Wallasey, South Wirral and surrounding areas)
Pay: £95 - £110 per day
Hours: 6.5-hour school day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel Liverpool & Wirral are currently seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support a number of our partnership secondary schools across the Wirral. We are working closely with schools in Birkenhead, Wallasey, South Wirral, and surrounding areas to recruit dedicated support staff for full-time, long-term positions starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact on the education and development of secondary-aged students with additional learning needs.

The Role

Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within mainstream secondary school settings.
Providing one-to-one and small group support inside and outside the classroom.
Assisting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support strategies.
Promoting positive behaviour and helping students engage with learning.
The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEN Support Worker.
Experience supporting young people with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
Confident working with secondary-aged pupils.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
