Prospero Teaching is Seeking Secondary Supply Teachers.

Prospero Teaching is recruiting passionate and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in the Solihull area. We have opportunities available for daily supply, short-term cover, and long-term placements across a variety of subjects and key stages.

Position Details

Location: Solihull
Position: Secondary Supply Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent opportunities)
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time and Part Time Available
Rate of Pay: Negotiable based on experience
Hours: 8:20am - 4:00pm (Term Time Only)

About the Role
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across your specialist subject area or provide general cover where required. Opportunities are available in a variety of mainstream secondary schools, with both pre-booked and emergency cover available.

This role is ideal for experienced teachers, ECTs, or teachers looking for greater flexibility whilst remaining in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS3 and KS4
Follow school policies and procedures to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
Assess, monitor, and support student progress where required
Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and wider school communities
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learnersExperience, Training and Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) is essential
Experience teaching within a UK secondary school setting
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Up-to-date safeguarding training is desirable. If you have not completed safeguarding training within the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide a free courseTo Be Eligible for Any Role with Prospero Teaching, You Must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two yearsTo Apply
