Smile Education, Northwest is now recruiting for a full-time Mathematics Teacher for a secondary school based in the Wigan.

What will the role as a Mathematics Teacher involve?
Preparing Mathematics teaching and learning materials.
Providing guidance and advice to pupils on education and on their further education and careers.
Providing feedback to students and parents, through consultation evenings, phone calls or written communication as appropriate.
Contributing to department planning and self-evaluation.
Providing professional support to other teachers and support staff.
Attending departmental and school meetings, either during or after the school day, as requested.
What do you need to apply for the Mathematics Teacher role?
An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
A teaching qualification with QTS and experience teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 in line with the British Curriculum.
A valid PGCE/QTS
Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subjects.
2 education-based references in the last 24 months.
A passion for teaching.
Good approach to behaviour management.
A determined, hard-working attitude.
