Secondary IT & Computer Science Teacher - The Wirral - January Start

Role Overview
Long-Term Teaching & Planning: Take full ownership of planning, marking, and delivering dynamic IT and Computer Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with Key Stage 5 opportunities available for subject specialists).

Consistent Placement: Secure full department integration and predictable weekly hours starting this January in a local Wirral secondary school.

Build Digital Skills: Teach key topics including programming (Python, HTML/CSS), cybersecurity, data management, and digital literacy.

Student Progress & Assessment: Track pupil development, prepare GCSE candidates for spring assessments/exams, and participate in departmental meetings and parents' evenings as required.

Requirements
Qualifications: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Subject Knowledge: Strong command of the UK National Curriculum for ICT and Computer Science across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE exam preparation strategies (OCR, AQA, or Edexcel).

Classroom Skills: Proven ability to manage computer lab environments, build long-term relationships with students, and implement effective differentiation.

Compliance & Location: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) and the ability to commute around The Wirral.
