Are you a confident and adaptable individual looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school setting? Supply Desk is recruiting on behalf of a supportive and well-established school in Croxley seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team.
In this role, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-planned work and maintaining a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and on task.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions provided by teaching staff.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
• Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate to facilitate learning.
• Report back to teaching staff regarding lesson outcomes, student progress, and behaviour.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence in managing groups of students and maintaining classroom discipline.
• The ability to remain calm, organised, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people to succeed.
