£77-90 per day, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for science technician to work in a Durham Secondary School. 

This role is open to individuals who are passionate and enthusiastic about science. You will have studied  an area of science to degree level  and have good experience within a laboratory setting.  As a Science Technician, you will set up and support practical Science Lessons. You will also work under the direction of the class teacher to support students within lessons. 

This is a full-time role and the typical hours 8am – 4pm.

Requirements for the role of Science Technician :

Right to work in the UK.
Has or is willing to obtain an enhanced DBS.
Has competed a BSc in an area of science.
Is passionate about supporting students with their academic development.
Has good verbal and written communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
