Accelerate Teaching is seeking a dynamic and passionate Science Technician to join our team at a vibrant Secondary School in Bradford. This exciting opportunity is available for the upcoming academic year, with a start date in September 2024.

About the Role:

As a Science Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the teaching and learning of science subjects within the school.
You will be responsible for preparing materials, setting up equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of practical experiments and demonstrations.
Collaborate closely with science teachers to enhance the educational experience of students and contribute to the overall success of the science department.Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and resources for practical lessons across all science disciplines.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging practical sessions, ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for practical activities.
Contribute to the development of innovative teaching resources and experiments to enrich the science curriculum.
Provide technical support during examinations and assessments, including the setup and invigilation of practical examinations.Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting is essential.
A passion for science and a commitment to fostering enthusiasm for the subject among students.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
