Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technician to join our team starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will support our Science department by preparing laboratory materials, maintaining equipment, and assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective science lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science experiments and practical lessons.
Maintain and organize the science laboratories and prep rooms, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
Assist teachers during practical lessons by providing technical support and guidance to students.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment.
Help develop and implement new experiments and science projects in collaboration with teaching staff.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.Requirements:
Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a similar role is desirable.
A strong background in science, with knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety regulations.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
