Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with a large Secondary Academy in Barnsley who are looking to appoint a Science Technician to help support the smooth running of the Science Department.

The job
The school is looking for an experienced Science Technician to support within the Science department, preparing materials for lessons, ensuring health and safety records are maintained, calibration and maintenance of equipment and chemicals.
Reporting to the Head of Science to work collaboratively as part of the team to support practical lessons, organise materials, and provide vital upkeep to the department.The successful candidate will
Have at least 1 year experience as a Science Technician in a UK School.
Be Health and Safety conscious with an eye for detail.
Be organised and able to work well alone and as part of a team
