Position Overview:
The school is looking for a dedicated Science Teacher to join the team in September 2024. As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering dynamic and innovative science lessons. With experience teaching all three sciences up to A-level, you will foster a stimulating learning environment where students can explore scientific concepts across biology, chemistry, and physics. Your expertise will empower students to develop critical thinking skills and cultivate a lifelong curiosity about the natural world.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
Create hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and activities to facilitate active learning and promote scientific inquiry.
Assess student understanding and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, providing timely feedback to support their learning journey.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to participate.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate science with other subject areas.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and cohesive educational experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English or related field (required).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification (required).
Experience teaching Biology, Physics and Chemistry up to A level (preferred).
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
