Reputable SEN School (SEMH) located in Bexley is currently recruiting for either an ECT or Experienced MPS or UPS (PLUS SEN points)Teacher of Science / Science Teacher. Permanent & Full-Time teaching appointment to commence in September 2024.
Teaching & Behavioural support staff are welcoming, supportive and dedicated in all aspects of this SEN School. Students who attend been diagnosed with SEMH & Behavioural difficulties, all of which have Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs). Teaching will be at KS3 up to GCSE Levels.
New and exciting vacancy has arisen for a permanent well-qualified (ie GTP/ Cert Ed/ PGCE/ Teach First/ SCITT/ QTS etc). Teacher of Science / Science Teacher (MPS or UPS). This successful SEN School (SEMH) would like to recruit either a Teacher of Science / Science Teacher who has taught in either a PRU/ Alternative Provision/ SEN School (SEMH) OR Mainstream School (with a lot of behavioural SEN students). Class sizes are very small which helps you to build a strong rapport with your students on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
You will have great SEN experience (ie CAMHS/ODD/ADHD/ ASD / SEMH / Difficult Behaviour) and preferably experience with EHCPs. You will have a strong STEM background as a Science Teacher. Must be able to plan, teach and deliver fun, creative and engaging lessons to your pupils! You will be able to put your stamp in the department!
Class sizes are small, typically 5-7 children per class and you will be supported with a minimum of 3 Behavioural support staff.
Well Qualified Teacher; ie PGCE/ Cert Ed/ SCITT / Teach First / QTS etc)
Excellent SEN teaching experience; ie CAMHS/ ODD/ SEMH /ADHD/ ASD and or Behaviour Difficulties
Strong STEM background teaching science and good experience teaching the UK curriculum at KS3 & KS4.
Your teaching experience; either an SEN School / PRU/ Alternative Provision or Mainstream School
Can demonstrate a minimum of a “Good Lesson”
Able to de-escalate behaviour, resilient, fun and engaging and able to build a strong rapport with young people & have a great sense of humour.
Able to commute successfully to the London Borough Bexley.
