Job Duties:

Developing and delivering tailored teaching plans to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Implementing strategies to address Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges in the classroom
Collaborating with colleagues to create inclusive learning environments
Assessing student progress and adapting teaching methods accordingly
Providing feedback and support to students, parents, and carers

Required Qualifications:

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Specialism in Science
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

A PGCE in Education with a focus on SEN

Experience:

Prior experience working with students with SEMH needs

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of SEN teaching strategies and best practises
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organisational and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in SEN support
Experience in teaching Science subjects

Working Conditions:

This role requires working full-time hours in a school setting, collaborating with colleagues and supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
