Science Teacher – Maldon

Full Time | January Start | Secondary Education | KS3 & KS4

Spark curiosity and bring science to life!

Gold Education Recruitment is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Maldon.

If you enjoy inspiring curiosity, encouraging students to ask questions and helping young people understand the world around them, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.

We're looking for someone who can make science engaging and accessible, helping students build their knowledge and confidence across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher looking for your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

You'll plan and deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and understanding of key concepts.

You'll encourage students to think critically, ask questions and apply their learning to real-world situations. Lessons should cater to a range of abilities, providing appropriate challenge and support so that all pupils have the opportunity to succeed.

You'll assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and identify areas where additional support may be needed. Where practical work is involved, you'll follow the school's health and safety procedures and help students develop safe, responsible working habits.

You'll also collaborate with colleagues within the science department, contribute to a positive learning environment and help students develop a lasting interest in science.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and a positive approach to classroom teaching.

Relevant secondary Science teaching qualifications and QTS, where required by the school, are expected. The ability to teach general science across KS3 is desirable, with opportunities to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics at KS4 depending on your specialism and the school's requirements.

You'll be organised, adaptable and confident managing a classroom, with a genuine passion for helping students understand and enjoy science.

Why work with Gold Education Recruitment?

We'll support you throughout your placement with guidance from a dedicated consultant who understands the importance of finding the right school and role.

You'll benefit from competitive daily pay rates inclusive of holiday pay, weekly PAYE payments and opportunities to explore longer-term positions within secondary education across Essex.

Ready to make science exciting?

If you're enthusiastic about your subject and want to help students develop their knowledge, curiosity and confidence, we'd love to hear from you.

Interviews can be arranged at your convenience.
