Salary: £120 - £200 per day

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join our primary school in Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and a passion for inspiring curiosity and scientific thinking in young students.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences in Science.

* Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.

* Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (experiments, demonstrations, discussions, etc.) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities.

* Observe and understand students’ behaviour and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse, etc.

* Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.

* Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.

* Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.

* Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.

* Proven experience as a Science Teacher at the primary school level.

* Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures.

* Excellent communicability and interpersonal skills.

* Well-organized and committed.

* Creative and energetic.

* Strong moral values and discipline.

* Knowledge of CPR.
