About the School: We are working with a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school located in Hornchurch, dedicated to providing a stimulating and supportive learning environment. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join the dynamic team from September 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and potentially 5.
Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to enhance students' understanding and enthusiasm for science.
Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching science within the UK education system.
Strong subject knowledge across all sciences, with a specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics being advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment and inspiring students.
Desirable Attributes:
Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
A track record of raising student achievement in science.
Participation in extra-curricular activities or science-related clubs.
