About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Shropshrie. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who can inspire students in Science, fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, supporting student achievement, and contributing to the continued success of the Maths and Science departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
* Teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support attainment.
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
* Support students in achieving their academic potential and developing problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events.
* Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
* Strong subject knowledge in Science.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Experience teachingGCSE Science.
* Ability to teach a Science specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
* Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Knowledge of current curriculum developments and assessment practices.
* Evidence of continued professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
