Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science to join a successful and supportive department within a thriving secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire young people and contribute to a culture of high expectations and strong academic achievement. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across the relevant key stages. They will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged and motivated to achieve their best. The role requires the ability to use assessment effectively to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement and ensure that all students, including disadvantaged learners and those with additional needs, are able to make strong progress.

Working as part of a dedicated department, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of schemes of work, teaching resources and departmental initiatives that support high-quality teaching and learning. They will collaborate closely with colleagues to share best practice, maintain high standards in the classroom and support the continued improvement of the department.

The role also involves maintaining accurate records of student progress, communicating effectively with parents and carers and contributing to strategies that support student attainment and wellbeing. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in the wider life of the school, supporting enrichment opportunities and school events where appropriate.

We are looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge, a passion for Science and the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high expectations for student behaviour and achievement, show a commitment to professional development and work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
