Salary: £120 - £160 per day
We are currently recruiting for a qualified Science Teacher to work in an SEMH provision in Bolton. This will be on a temporary to Permanent contract, working with children and young people between 11-17 years old.
The role is based in an Alternative Provision supporting children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties who display some challenging behaviour.
Job Duties:
Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students
Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments and examinations
Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for science
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline
Experience:
Prior experience teaching science at the secondary school level
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent understanding of science concepts and principles
Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
Strong classroom management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Education
Experience working with diverse student populations
Working Conditions:
Work full-time hours on a temp to perm contract basis
Teach in a classroom setting at a secondary SEMH school in Bolton
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
