Science Teacher – September 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Kingston upon Thames from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational teacher who is passionate about science and committed to helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking and a strong understanding of the world around them. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The Role

You will:

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach your specialist subject at Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.

*

Inspire students to develop scientific knowledge, practical skills and a lifelong interest in science.

*

Assess, monitor and support student progress through effective feedback and intervention.

*

Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes high expectations and excellent behaviour.

*

Contribute to the wider life of the Science department and school community.

*

Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and continually improve teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will have:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

A degree in Science or a related subject (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).

*

Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school (placements considered for ECTs).

*

Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons.

*

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

*

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
