Exciting Opportunity: Secondary School Science Teacher Position
Location: Sheffield (S36)

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our dedicated team as a Secondary School Science Teacher. This role would be to start this coming September, on a long-term basis. You will be overseeing pre-planned lessons (however higher pay available for own planned, engaging lessons) and will work within the school’s effective behavioural policy. There is also an opportunity for long term - permanent placement for those who excel within the school’s community.
Competitive daily rates:
£170-£230 for qualified teachers
£130-£150 for unqualified teachers or Cover Supervisors
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Engage students in stimulating Science lessons that foster their understanding of scientific concepts, and preparing them for further education
• Design or adapt curriculum materials to align with educational standards and learning objectives. Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials.
• Incorporate real-world applications and current scientific developments into the curriculum.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and motivated to excel
• Design and administer assessments (tests, quizzes, projects) to evaluate students' understanding and progress.
• Manage student behaviour effectively and enforce classroom rules.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field (preferred)
• Qualified teacher status (preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience in education or relevant fields is an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• DBS Required with update service (or happy to pay for new cert via Provide)
