Are you an enthusiastic Science Teacher with a passion for inspiring young people and making Science engaging, practical, and accessible?

We are working alongside a friendly and ambitious secondary school in Northampton who are seeking to appoint a dedicated Science Teacher from September 2026. The role is full-time, with both permanent and fixed-term options available depending on experience and school requirements.

About the Role
Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities where applicable
Plan lessons that develop students' scientific understanding, practical abilities, and problem-solving skills
Use experiments, demonstrations, and investigative activities to bring Science to life
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles
Regularly assess and track student progress, providing useful and constructive feedback
Support the ongoing development of the Science curriculum and department
Get involved in enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, science competitions, trips, and school events
Share ideas, resources, and effective teaching strategies with colleagues
Play an active role in the wider school community
We're Looking For
QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
A degree or specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching Science
The ability to motivate, challenge, and support students across a range of abilities
Strong classroom management skills and a positive, consistent approach
A commitment to achieving high standards and supporting student development
Good communication and teamwork skills
A proactive attitude towards contributing to school life
