A secondary school in Blackpool is recruiting a Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and support students across a range of abilities. This opportunity would suit an experienced Science Teacher or an Early Career Teacher ready to develop their classroom practice.

The Role - Science Teacher

As a Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that develop students' scientific knowledge, practical skills and ability to evaluate evidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons across the secondary curriculum
Adapting teaching to support different abilities, including students with SEND
Planning safe, purposeful practical activities
Developing scientific vocabulary, enquiry and problem-solving skills
Assessing understanding and preparing students for examinations
Maintaining clear expectations and a positive classroom environment
Working with departmental colleagues to share resources and effective practiceThe successful Science Teacher will combine strong subject knowledge with the ability to connect classroom learning to the world around us.
