Managing behaviour calmly and consistently
Creating a classroom environment where students feel safe and able to learn
Supporting students working towards GCSEs and other qualifications
Monitoring progress and adapting lessons where needed
Working closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff and the wider school team
Helping students develop confidence, independence and a more positive attitude towards education

Have a positive attitude and are willing to get involved with the wider school
Are passionate about helping young people who may have struggled in mainstream educationPrevious experience in SEMH, SEN, PRU, AP or alternative education would be useful, but it isn't essential. The school is also open to hearing from mainstream Science Teachers who are interested in moving into an SEMH setting.

ECTs are welcome to apply.
