Are you passionate about teaching Science? GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a local school in Weymouth, with a vacancy for September 2024.

About the Role:

As a Science Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to ignite curiosity and foster a love for science among the students. You'll deliver engaging lessons that capture the imagination and encourage exploration, helping students to develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts and their real-world applications. Also, will work alongside talented colleagues who share your passion for science and are committed to delivering high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, providing each student with the opportunity to excel.
Emphasise real-world applications of scientific principles, utilising hands-on experiments and cutting-edge resources to make science relevant and captivating for students.
Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for scientific inquiry, promoting respectful behaviour among students.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in science, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
Teaching certification in science.
PGCE/QTS/QTLS
Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.

Ability to create engaging and informative lesson plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Effective classroom management.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
