Science Teacher - Milton Keynes

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Milton Keynes area from January 2027.

The school is looking for a passionate Science teacher who is keen to inspire students and contribute to an ambitious and evolving curriculum. ECTs are very welcome to apply, alongside experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.

The Role

The successful candidate will have a genuine drive to deliver engaging, innovative and inspiring Science lessons, encouraging students to develop a strong understanding of the subject and a real enthusiasm for learning.

You will be joining a supportive and ambitious department where you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum and play an active role in raising student achievement.

The school is also keen to appoint someone who will encourage students to take part in extracurricular activities, helping to develop wider participation and interest in Science beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across the secondary age range.
Inspire students and develop their enthusiasm for Science.
Contribute to an evolving and ambitious Science curriculum.
Monitor and support student progress and attainment.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department.
Contribute to extracurricular activities and wider enrichment opportunities.
Support the school's high expectations for behaviour, achievement and progress.The Ideal Candidate

Holds QTS or is working towards QTS.
Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
