About the Role

Veritas Education is proud to be working with a thriving secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and well-established Science department where students are encouraged to develop curiosity, analytical thinking, and a passion for scientific discovery. The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach their specialism at a higher level.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as part of the wider curriculum
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with national curriculum expectations
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Contribute to departmental planning and school enrichment activities
Promote a positive attitude towards Science and learning

The Ideal Candidate

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science
Has excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Is committed to raising student attainment and achievement
Works effectively as part of a team
ECTs are encouraged to apply
