Role: Science Teacher with QTS

Pay: Payed to scale

Location: Kings Heath, Birmingham 

Start date: September 2024

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a school within the Kings Heath area of Birmingham. The targeted school are looking to employ a fully qualified science teacher to start in September 2024. 

The ideal candidate will hold a UK QTS and have previous expereince working within secondary schools in the UK. Newly Qualified Teachers are also encouraged to apply!

General Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.

• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.

• Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment where students can develop their scientific understanding.

• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.

• Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

• Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and school events.

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic performance, promoting a positive ethos in the classroom and around the school.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• A degree in Science or a related subject.

• Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level.

• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Science.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices.

• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential. • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
