Our client is an excellent school providing education to students aged 4-16. A particularly attractive aspect of this school is their approach to delivering learning and supporting children, which is done with a holistic approach. Through this approach, learning is delivered with a balanced & rounded academic curriculum alongside pastoral & spiritual development. The school opened its doors in 2019 and are now operating in their 4th academic year. They are part of a large & locally based, forward-thinking academy trust. This is a school that has steadily shown improvement through student attainment and staff development since its' inception. Due to the manner in which children are supported, this has been a key contributor to their successes.

Led by an approachable headteacher, welcoming colleagues and set in beautiful surroundings with period buildings, this really is a fantastic all-round opportunity for an able & passionate person looking to support young people in their development. Future development opportunities would likely be available within the trust as they grow & develop. The school has good transport links by road, rail & bus. There is also abundant free parking onsite.

As a subject, Science is delivered well at this school and there is a strong and collaborative team. Students are the school achieve good results and as this is often 'a school of choice by parents', the students are engaging and often seek to further their knowledge by independent learning and inquisitiveness. As a schools with a smaller number of students on role, the demands on colleague expertise is greater. Whilst the workload isn't vastly different from any other school, the ability to deliver teaching & learning to high standards and sound subject knowledge are the key requirements for this role.

The school is also recruiting for someone to join the team on a permanent basis and is open to the approach in engaging the successful applicant.

As Elementa is the recruiting partner all applicants still being considered for the role after pre-screening and will be required to undergo the schools vetting & compliance process and potentially the vetting & compliance process for Elementa. This includes full vetting & background checks, referencing and application for a DBS Enhanced Disclosure (which may be chargeable at £53.20) unless you have a current DBS Enhanced Disclosure subscribed to the update service. A clear DBS certificate is highly desirable however a positive DBS certificate is not an absolute barrier to being considered.

All applicants will be promptly responded to. Please apply including your full & up-to-date CV or a recently completed school application form in lieu of a CV
