Key Responsibilities

Be a trusted first point of contact for schools, delivering responsive, practical and high-quality HR advice on employee-related matters.

Coach and guide managers through options, risks and next steps, helping them take confident and appropriate action.

Support a varied caseload covering employee relations, organisational redesign and other people management matters.

Support constructive trade union engagement by preparing clear information, data and guidance for forums.

Help develop confident people leaders in schools by working closely with HR and OD colleagues on effective, sustainable change.

About You

Proven experience providing clear technical HR/OD advice to managers and supporting employee relations casework from start to finish.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise, influence and build trusted relationships with senior leaders and managers.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines, work independently and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce concise reports, briefings and guidance.

Confident IT skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and HR systems.

A genuine commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice, with the ability to apply this in workforce and school settings.
