Teaching Personnel are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a pioneering secondary school in Weston-Super-Mare, . The school aims to develop the whole child through a varied curriculum that offers a range of academic and vocational subjects, as well as a comprehensive PSHE curriculum. This school is a staple of the community and a favourite amongst our educators.

Main Duties:

Work 1:1 with students, providing academic and social support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning plans for SEN students
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Facilitate small group interventions
The ideal Teaching Assistant would have:

Experience working with children or young people
Knowledge of SEN strategies and support techniques
Experience working with students with physical disabilities
GCSEs in English and Maths
An empathetic, calm and patient manner

Here are some important details about the position:

Location: BS22
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Start Date: Immediate or in September
Contract: Permanent contracts available after an initial trial period

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
