Full Time, 36 Hours per Week (8:00am to 4:00pm)

Long-Term Temporary Opportunity with Potential to Become Permanent

We are seeking a proactive and reliable School Site Manager to join a welcoming school near Sunderland on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced site professional looking for a long-term temporary role with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Opening and closing the school premises
Ensuring the security and safety of the site
Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks
Managing contractors and site visitors
Conducting health and safety checks and maintaining records
Monitoring building systems and reporting defects
Supporting with site inspections and compliance requirements
Assisting with room setups and school events where requiredThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience in a Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities, or Estates role
Good practical maintenance and repair skills
Knowledge of health and safety procedures
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
A flexible and proactive approach to work
Previous experience working within a school environment is desirableEssential Requirements:
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
Ability to start ASAP
Right to work in the UK
