Part Time School Minibus Driver Needed from Sept 2024
£13.28 per hour
Our client is a local primary school who are looking for 2 experienced minibus drivers to join their team.
This is an ongoing temporary role due to start on 2nd September 2024.
The working hours are 7.45am - 8.45am and 2.45pm – 3.45pm (Mon - Fri)
This role would suit someone who may not have experience specifically as a school minibus driver but has a D1 licence and is looking for a nice role offering 10 hours work per week on a term time only basis and would suit someone who is very flexible.
The minibus driver will be required to collect a school minibus from the school site in the morning, carrying out daily checks of the minibus before leaving the site. The driver will conduct a run during the morning, collecting pupils from designated pick-up points and driving them to school. They will then conduct a run during the afternoon, collecting pupils from the school and dropping at the designated points for parent collection. They will be responsible for the safety and welfare of all passengers during the run. On arrival at school, the driver will hand the children over to the care of school staff, then report delivery of pupils to the School Office and carry out return checks on the minibus.
You must hold a valid D1, full driving license and be happy for a DBS check to be carried out prior to starting.
Each local journey has a planned route in place, along with routes to take as alternatives in the event of road closures, delays etc. This route is very straight forward and will involve collecting children from one local neighboring village and driving them to school and back again at the end of the day. The children are of primary school age.
This role is term time only which means you are not required to work during all the school holidays. This is a perfect role for someone who is looking for a lovely part time flexible position, working with a fabulous team of welcoming staff.
