Location: Shepherd’s Bush
Working Hours: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm (20 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour
Job Description:
SNS Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Temporary/Ongoing School Kitchen Assistant to join our client’s team for one of their schools located in Shepherd’s Bush. This position will involve assisting in various kitchen duties to ensure the smooth operation of our school kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
* Supporting the kitchen staff in cooking and serving meals to students and staff.
* Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
* Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
* Storing food items appropriately and rotating stock to ensure freshness.
* Assisting in the setup and cleanup of the kitchen before and after meal service.
* Adhering to all health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
* Providing assistance in maintaining inventory records and stock control.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred.
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check.
* Right to work in the UK documentation.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
